It was about 6 years ago when I was watching something on the sports channel (not quite sure which one) and learned about an up and coming swimmer named Michael Phelps. He was pretty good, so I always tried to make sure I kept an eye on him in upcoming events. Then he made it to the Athens Olympic games, and that's where I (along with millions of others) fell in love. He was totally my screen saver on my computer at work, and everyone always made fun of me. But guess what? I didn't care. I knew I was in love, and I couldn't deny it. :) So, of course I was his #1 fan as he got ready for the Beijing Olympics of 2008. I was in SLC with my family for our Hansen Family Reunion and made all of my family stop playing a game so we could watch his first race. He was phenomenal (no surprise there) and ended up being so the rest of the games. With help of his teammates (thank you Jason Lezak) and many others, he accomplished the impossible. Of course this is old news, but I just wanted to give a shout out, and tell Michael what an amazing athlete he is (I know he reads my blog frequently). He is truly inspiring. Just ask Corinne about my swimming on Saturday because of him. ;)
So, this blog is for you Michael. And this pic is for everyone elses viewing pleasure.
(You're welcome)!!

Yes we are living here in St. George. I am currantly looking for a new job, which totally sucks. I have been working on and off temp. for Stock's Truss Plant, but I need something permanant. I have had time to catch up on some reading. That has been nice. It's hard not having a job to go to every day. If you hear of anything let me know. :) I also no all about letting you neice go and move. Chelsey lives in Logan and I miss her family so bad. I can't wait for her to move back home.
Hi Amy! I have had fun reading through and catching up on what you are doing. Your trip sounds incredible. I can relate to being away from little nieces and nephews too. Brett and Kim just had their fifth little baby girl and I probably won't get to see her until she is walking! I am glad I found your blog!
