P.S. I totally heart the Olympics

I remember growing up watching the Olympics with my family. Of course as a little girl I was all over the gymnastics. But I remember sometimes being totally upset because they would interrupt my regularly scheduled shows I liked to watch. Then something magical happened, I grew up. :)

It was about 6 years ago when I was watching something on the sports channel (not quite sure which one) and learned about an up and coming swimmer named Michael Phelps. He was pretty good, so I always tried to make sure I kept an eye on him in upcoming events. Then he made it to the Athens Olympic games, and that's where I (along with millions of others) fell in love. He was totally my screen saver on my computer at work, and everyone always made fun of me. But guess what? I didn't care. I knew I was in love, and I couldn't deny it. :) So, of course I was his #1 fan as he got ready for the Beijing Olympics of 2008. I was in SLC with my family for our Hansen Family Reunion and made all of my family stop playing a game so we could watch his first race. He was phenomenal (no surprise there) and ended up being so the rest of the games. With help of his teammates (thank you Jason Lezak) and many others, he accomplished the impossible. Of course this is old news, but I just wanted to give a shout out, and tell Michael what an amazing athlete he is (I know he reads my blog frequently). He is truly inspiring. Just ask Corinne about my swimming on Saturday because of him. ;)

So, this blog is for you Michael. And this pic is for everyone elses viewing pleasure.

(You're welcome)!!
