It's been FOREVER since I've updated, and this still doesn't have pictures, but I'm working on it. The problem is, I never do this at work, and at home, we don't have internet, so I'm never on the computer. But that's NO excuse. I need to boot up the ol' laptop and get some pics on there. I was just going throught my camera and realized how much I (we've) done since posting last. So, here's kind of a run-down in the Miller family since the wedding...
*Dec. 5- Rob & I were married
*Dec. 21- Kennedy came to stay with us for 10 days
*Dec. 25- Christmas as a family, and Rob & I got our Temple Clearance from the 1st Presidency. We are planning on being sealed Dec. 11, 2010. We'll let you know a more concrete time later.
*Dec. 27-30- Rob's family came to visit us for the holidays
*Dec. 31- Rob & I brought in the New Year with some of the Hansen Family at the Romberger's. We had a blast. Rob especially loved playing the Wii with my family. ;)
*Jan. 5- I celebrated my 32nd B-day with ALL of my family at the St. George Temple. While everyone was still in town we all went to the temple and did sealings. It was a beautiful experience, and one of the best b-days!!
*Feb. 4- Rob & I spent our first night in our BRAND NEW HOME!!!!!!!!!! (All of our hard work, long days/nights, and everyone's help finally paid off) Thank you again, for everyone's help!
*Feb. 5- My best-friend, Corinne, celebrated her b-day. We went to the movie while Rob was on a scout campout, and I was totally sick. Sorry again, Corinne, I wasn't much, sniff, fun, sniff, that, sniff, night, sniff. :)
*Feb. 12- My Mom celebrated her B-day, and our little Thug joined this world.
*Feb. 14- Rob & I celebrated our first Valentine's Day together. He gave me a gorgeous bouquet of roses that lasted forever.
*March- We visited Kennedy twice, and Rob got to hike and camp with the scouts (he's the asst scout-master over the Deacons in our Ivins LDS Ward)
*March 8- Kennedy celebrated her 4th B-day!! We were up the weekend before (5th-7th) and celebrated with a party at Pirate Island Pizza with her cousins. We had a good time, and she got some great presents. We love spoiling her!! ;)
*March 30- We found out Rob's incredible Grandma was diagnosed with liver cancer.
*April 1-4- We made an emergency trip to California to see Grandma B one last time. It was one of the most incredible spiritual experiences we've had in a long time. She is such an amazing woman, and will leave the biggest impact on the world for us. We also got to pick up Thug and his sister (whom we gave to Grandma & Grandpa B). They were the best travellers, and we've just loved having Thug as part of our family.
*April 1-8- Kennedy came and spent the week with us for her Spring Break. We love her and love having her with us.
*April 10- Rob & I drove to Cedar to pick up our new fishing boat. It's just a 14' boat from the '80's, but we love it. We took it out that same day while Rob's older brother and kids were here with us. Ivins Reservoir is so close and we can go fishing anytime. We especially love to just run to the Res right after work and spend an hour out on the lake. It makes it feel like a weekend.
*April 16-17- Rob & I took our first camping trip of the season. We just went to Gunlock Friday after work and had a blast setting up camp, having dinner, taking walks, fishing, reading by the fire, and just spending time with one another. The night was FREEZING, but that's just cuz our little tent is open all over the sides. Needless to say, we purchased another tent the next day. That was waaaay too cold for my likings. :) We fished the next day at Gunlock, but they drained it last year, so the fish are just starting to repopulate. So we left, picked up our nephews, Easton & Mason, and we all went to Quail to fish instead. We had a blast, and I got so sunburned. It was such a wonderful day!!
*April 18- We hosted the Hansen Family monthly Sunday dinner at our new home. We provided the shish-ka-bobs, and the delicious salads and desserts came from the others. Then Rob left for a Priesthood leadership meeting and I got word that his Grandma was not doing well at all. Rob and I met after his meeting and walked for a bit talking about his Grandma, then we got word about an hour later that she had passed. She is one of the most amazing women, and we will miss her dearly. We love you!! (We named our boat U.S.S. ELAINE after Grandma).
*April 19- Rob & I went golfing together. I had given him a gift certificate to Sunbrook for Valentines, so we both went Monday afternoon and played 9 holes of golf. It was my first real time golfing and I have to say, I LOVED IT!!! It's so funny, cuz things I never thought I'd do I've done with Rob. And it really was a blast. It gets in your system. I wanna go again and see if I can do better. I did a lot better then I thought I would, and impressed Rob too. (I think his expectations were really low anyway, so anything would be impressive). hahaha, but I really did hold my own. I can't wait to go again.
So, now you've had the recap on the Miller Fam for the past few months. I apologize again for not keeping up with this, but I'll try and do better. And I'll try and get some pics up soon too. I need to get them on of the house, Christmas, etc. Sorry this post was so long, hopefully you're still awake!! :) WE love you all!!
